CAST

A couple days ago, I helped a friend take pictures at a Parent Education Night for the Community Alliance for a Safer Tomorrow (CAST), an anti-drug and anti-violence organization in the Upper Merion district.  I know that the only way I’ll get better at photography is to practice, practice, practice… but let me tell you, sometimes I wish I could just skip the growing pains and be good already!  Instead, I have manuals to read, blogs to browse, assignments to finish (mostly self-imposed), and miles to travel before I sleep.

The technique that I most need to learn right now is how to take pictures in low light.  Or yellow light.  Or no light for that matter.  Where to point the flash and how to use its different settings.  If anyone has suggestions on good resources, if you’re willing teach me in person, if I can practice on you, or if you’ve got some sort of magic pill that’ll make me good by osmosis, I’m all ears!!!
