Visiting Janice

Last weekend I took a quickie trip to Cincinnati for Janice’s bridal shower, and while I can’t show any pictures of that for fear that Janice will kill me, I can share pictures from our visit to the butterfly show. Yes, a butterfly show!  Each spring, the Krohn Conservatory brings in thousands of butterflies from all over the world and lets them loose inside this garden.  It’s a butterfly paradise, with flowers and nectar and sunshine, galore.  The little creatures are so amazingly beautiful… and beautifully amazing… that I’m convinced our Creator is the greatest Artist of all time.  Just look at how intricate the patterns on each wing are.

It boggles my mind that butterflies start out like this:

Here I am holding one for the first time. Don’t know why, but I was nervous!  So I tried handing it off to some nearby kids.

This next shot is perhaps my favorite of the day.

Isn’t this gorgeous?

Here’s the soon-to-be-married couple lookin good despite the humidity.

Last but not least, here’s a photo of me and Janice, in a state of bliss having just tasted a scoop of heaven.  Next time you’re in Cincinnati, you MUST try Graeter’s ice cream.  It should be the law!

That’s it for now. I can’t believe her wedding is just a few weeks away!
