Rich (in love)

This weekend Eric decided to count the spare change that we’ve accumulated over the past year and a half.  It came out to a whopping $26.85, plus a $3 IOU from Eric who steals quarters when I’m not looking, and insists that it’s for parking.  Now I realize it’s not much, but it’s twenty-odd dollars that essentially came out of nowhere, so we felt rich!  We excitedly discussed what to do with our newfound wealth and briefly considered dinner and a movie, but then in a moment of brilliance, I decided let’s have five mini-fro-yo-dates instead!  See, we recently discovered Saxbys, a coffee shop near our church which serves a delicious frozen yogurt (like Pinkberry, I’ve been told) and I had been craving it all week.  So it was the perfect plan to milk our date night fund for all it is worth (pun intended).  We separated our coins into five baggies of five dollars each (like drugs, I’ve been told) and today, after church, with twenty quarters jingling inside Eric’s man purse and no shame in giving a handful of coins to the cashier, we went on date #1.  It was delicious! DateNightFund

Well done guys. You know, you could have just taken the coins to Commerce Bank to get them cashed :) I impressed Jenny by paying the meter with my jar of nickels on our first date.
