On The Other Side

For the first time since our wedding, we were on the other side of the camera last weekend—that is, not taking pictures, but having our picture taken. Thank you Lynne, for humoring my silly idea and sacrificing your Saturday morning to go galavanting and shooting us in Waikiki!   Sorry if we seemed awkward… it’s because we were! Haha.  Now I know first-hand how important it is for a photographer to help direct and pose his/her subject.   It’s interesting to me that this is such an important aspect of (portrait) photography, but one which has nothing to do with the technique of working a camera or what equipment you have.  A lot of how good your photo is, is how comfortable you can make your subject feel in front of the camera.  I guess I’ve always known this, but it didn’t really sink in until we went through it ourselves!  Anyway, enough talking… here are a few photos of… us. : D  THANKS AGAIN Lynnifer!!  (Side note: I had no idea what to wear! I ended up choosing this top, which I like cause it makes me feel like a Monet painting… but next time I think I want to try something more BOLD!) (2nd side note: this is what Hawaii in December looks like, hehe. Don’t hate!)jenericI didn’t realize I kiss with such a flat face… guess I should pucker up more.
