Sunday Evening Ruminations

Aloha!  It’s Sunday evening and the sun has set on my bachelor weekend.  I hope my wife is proud of my conscientious Swiffer-ing efforts.  I will admit that it works wonders, but I feel like this could be an expensive habit.  Yesterday, my cousin Bri got married in Canada.  All of my family made the trip…except for lonely me.  Although I was bummed that I could not attend, I’m excited to see the newlyweds soon!

Congrats to Bri and Cathy!  We are praying for many many years of marriage filled with joy and love, as you serve each other and remember your vows on your special day!

This picture below was taken just days before I got married.  We ate lunch at a local buffet.  My track record for buffets these days is pitiful compared to my teenage years.  Maybe I’ll be able to put on a few more pounds with plate lunches and once I get into a better cooking groove.  Speaking of food, I should start cooking dinner…A hui hou!

Some postings don’t require many words…just a few pictures to whet your appetite…God’s wonders and gifts to man.  Thanks for your prayers!

A beautiful day in the ballpark

Howdy friends!  It’s time that the eric half of totallyjeneric writes his first post.  Yes, you are reading this correctly!  Jen gave me an excellent tutorial on how to create a post.  What a fabulous wife I have!

The sun was beaming brilliantly, the sausage and crab fries were a tasty ballpark treat, and during the entire game, the fans were struggling to catch the foul balls.  Sitting in the Diamond Club was a neat experience, despite watching our 2008 World Series Champions lose to the Brewers 6-1 on Thursday afternoon in Citizens Bank Park.

Cole Hamels got pelted by a line drive in the fourth inning and left the game.

The Phillies Phanatic was having a ball with all the fans.

And of course, I had to get a picture of the Flyin Hawaiian, Shane Victorino.  I should have brought some Spam musubi.

In addition to being in the middle of all the action, I had some great photo ops!

All in a day’s work, I suppose.

Aloha,

Eric
