Fashion Smashion

Last year, I subscribed to a fashion magazine on a whim — couldn’t help it, the internet makes it too easy!  Well, four or five issues later, I am no more fashionable than before… however, on the plus side, I’ve been able to glean some photography inspiration from its quirky spreads!  I’ve concluded that fashion photography is good so long as it elicits a strong, distinct reaction from its viewer.  Like, you love it or you hate it.  You can’t be indifferent about it.  Much like tofu.  Or cilantro.  Love it.  YUM!  

I stumbled across this website today and thought it was kind of funny.

The Winter Blues

Been in a bit of a funk lately… and my cooking (on the few days I cook) reflects it… poor Eric.  Perhaps the winter blues… wearing the same 5 sweaters, peeling dry skin, tiptoeing on cold tiles, static shocks, hibernating.  Sometimes a good cry helps…  yes, I cry easily, just put on Grey’s Anatomy… well, the other day, I did so with my head on Eric’s shoulder.  Poor guy had no idea what happened.  ”Did you just drool on me!!?”  Made me laugh.  Then sigh.  Then tiptoe to the kitchen, pack our lunches of dry chicken, and hibernate into bed.  

If only the weather were warm and money grew on trees!  I think these are so pretty. : )  Is it my birthday yet?  Aren’t husbands supposed to give their wives gifts for St. Patrick’s day??
