From the first picture below, you can’t even tell Sang Mi is pregnant… but she and Mike are expecting a baby boy in August, less than 6 weeks from now!  Eric and I had so much fun taking photos of them last month at Fort Washington State Park.  It was actually the first time we hung out with them outside of church, which is one of my favorite things about photography as a hobby… it’s a good excuse to hang out with people!  So thanks Mike & Sang Mi for spending time with us and posing this and that way… you guys were great! : )  One of the highlights of the shoot for me was seeing the baby move inside Sang Mi’s belly.  Unfortunately, Eric missed it and wanted to see it too, so Mike and Sang Mi started poking and nudging her stomach to make him move again… at which point Eric and I were like “nooooo, it’s ok, leave the baby aloooone!” cause we didn’t know you could do that!!  We always thought pregnant bellies were hard and fragile.. but apparently we have a lot to learn!  I was also really amused to hear that Sang Mi’s been eating watermelon daily, averaging two per week, which in my opinion is awesome and makes me excited to get pregnant eventually, so I can eat endless watermelon too!  Anyway, here are a few of my favorites pics… hope you enjoy the sequence in pics #2-6… and see if you can spot Eric in the sunglasses pic (he’s so creative!). It is with great excitement that I share photos from our first maternity session!  Jason and Jeanie are our friends from church and are expecting a baby boy in September.  We had a blast taking pictures of her naked belly and pregnant glow.  Isn’t she so pretty and photogenic?  What a lucky baby… he’s gonna be a cute one for sure!!Enter Jason.  When he first smiled for the camera, it was kinda awkward.  Hmm.  But then he looked into Jeanie’s eyes and the smiles were perfect!  I really like the tenderness of the next two shots.  The third one is a repeat, but processed to be a bit blinding.  There is something I love about it that way. Then we headed outside.  Notice the different shots we get because of our different positions/perspectives… this is why I love shooting with Eric and going through all his pictures after.  Gives me insight into his brain!  

Finally, a few of my favorite shots of the day.  Beautiful light + beautiful couple.  Congrats Jason & Jeanie… can’t wait to meet the little one in a few months!
